iPhone 17 Pro’s reverse wireless charging feature under discussion

Desk Reports :

There have been various rumors about reverse wireless charging on the iPhone for years. However, these rumors have not come true yet. Now, new information about the feature has come from the Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to a known source ‘Fixed Focus Digital’, which provides information about the iPhone, this feature will be available on the iPhone 17 Pro model.

Reverse wireless charging is a technology through which other devices such as AirPods, Apple Watch, and even other smartphones can be charged wirelessly from the iPhone. That is, iPhone 17 Pro users will be able to share their battery power with other devices. Although this is not an important feature, it will increase the value of the iPhone 17 Pro and will also greatly reduce the inconvenience of going out without a charger.

However, according to rumors, Apple is still testing this feature. Therefore, this news should not be taken too seriously. A previously published report said that Apple will be able to provide up to 7.5 watts of power through reverse wireless charging. This speed is not particularly fast, but it will be enough for quick charging in an emergency.
If this feature is indeed added to the iPhone 17 Pro, then more rumors about it will be heard in the coming weeks. Everything will be clear only when the iPhone 17 series is unveiled in September.

Official invitations have not been sent yet, but there are rumors that Apple will organize a special event on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. So, pre-orders will start on Friday of that week, i.e., September 12, and the iPhone 17 series will be released on September 19, possibly with the reverse wireless charging feature.
